Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

EIA is a comprehensive document that evaluates the potential environmental effects of a proposed project or development. It is a critical component of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process, which aims to ensure that decision-makers consider environmental consequences before approving projects.

Our EIA services include consultation during the initial project design stages; preparation of Terms of References (TOR); baseline data collection (primary or secondary); communicating with regulatory authorities, stakeholders and the community; assisting with environmental approvals and permits; developing and implementing environmental management plans and management systems for the construction, operation and decommissioning stages of a project.

Environmental Management Plan (EMP)

EMP is a detailed document that outlines the strategies and actions required to manage, mitigate, and monitor the environmental impacts identified in an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). It provides a framework to ensure that any negative effects of a project on the environment are minimized, while positive impacts are maximized.

GESB helps clients formulate EMP across a broad range of industrial sectors. The EMP we have formulated meet not only the legal requirements of DOE but also action action oriented, easy to implement and highly cost effective covering three phases of project implementation. GESB has an established track record in providing practical solution in identifying potential impacts likely to arise from the project activities and mitigation measures to strategically control the environmental and business risk management towards the goals of sustainable development.

Environmental Audit

GESB has a registered environmental auditor with DOE to carry out environmental audit as stipulated under section 33A of the Environmental Quality Act 1974. The services provided by GESB, cover all processes and activities which may contribute to the effective compliance of the Environmental Quality Act 1974, or as indicated by DOE in written notification. Besides that, we also provide consultations on internal compliance audit for organization that need to comply with other pertinent guidelines, standard and code of practices.

Health, Safety and Environmental Training

GESB has competence trainers to conduct Health, safety and Environment (HSE) related training and awareness programs that suit with client's need. We offer across a broad HSE training scope or specific module tailored to client operations and activities, where we can help them in achieving compliance with legal HSE requirements. 

Environmental Baseline Sampling and Monitoring

Environmental monitoring is an integral part of the environmental studies to assess the impacts of the development to the existing physical, chemical and biological system of the surrounding area. Environmental monitoring is a requirement to established a baseline data prior to any development and part of post EIA approval terms of conditions imposed by the DOE under the Environmental Quality Act 1974. HSE Legal Register and Gap Analysis

An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Legal Register is a structured document or system that lists all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, standards, and other compliance requirements relevant to a company’s operations. It serves as a comprehensive reference to ensure the organization adheres to legal obligations and avoids regulatory violations. GAP Analysis is a systematic evaluation process that identifies the gaps between current practices and desired compliance or performance levels in health, safety, and environmental management.

The HSE Legal Register provides the foundation for understanding what legal requirements apply to the organization. While, GAP Analysis evaluates whether the company’s current practices meet those legal requirements and other benchmarks.

Man Power Supply - Environmental Officers (EO)

As a preferred environmental consultant in the market, GESB has expanded their level of services in providing and supplying a competent and trained Environmental Officer (EO) to all industries in assisting them in day to day operations and onsite management to ensure that it complies with respective legal requirements.

This scope of services is in line with current market demand and requirements imposed by DOE for self-regulation. Our EO are well trained by experts in the respective fields who has vast experience and working knowledge in this aspect. Training is conducted theoretically and on site practical. The on site practical given our EO hand on knowledge and experience in order to prepare them for actual working environment in future.
